Wynne Paris is a teacher, recording artist, performer, festival producer, and instrument designer.
As a founder of Grace Harmoniums, Wynne brings together 20 years of experience in kirtan, production, and study of Indian traditions and musical instruments.
In 1997, Wynne began playing with famed Kirtan artist Krishna Das and performed on the genre defining CD "PILGRIM HEART", where he first heard and fell in love with the Harmonium.
In 2009, he began working with Mid-East manufacturing, a leading instrument manufacturer and importer. It was there that he designed his first group of instruments and coined the phrase yoga harmonium. A yoga harmonium is specifically designed to be lightweight, has a 2.5 octave range and a tone that resonates with chords used in the playing of kirtan and mantra music.
In 2020, Covid shutdown live music events; so, he redirected his energy and co founded Grace Harmoniums, along with his partner and Lovelight festival executive producer Kim Maddox. Their intention is to provide quality instruments at affordable prices to people who desire to expand their yoga practices with harmoniums. Since both cofounders have grandmothers named Grace, the name has special meaning to them. Wynne's grandmother Grace was a devotee of Yogananda and introduced him to Bhakti in the early 70's. His devotion continues to this day.
